Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse of Historic Buildings

We invite you to join a public event exploring contemporary approaches to the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

The programme features three presentations highlighting international and Ukrainian experiences in safeguarding cultural heritage through UNESCO’s Revive the Spirit of Mosul initiative, the revitalization of the Potocki Palace in Ivano-Frankivsk, and the transformation of the Orłowski Palace in Maliivtsi into a museum.

The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion led by Zoryana Rybchynska on how heritage conservation projects can become catalysts for local development. Participants will explore the role of cross-sector collaboration, community engagement, and dedicated teams in the successful revitalization of historic buildings.

The discussion will take place in the Long Table format—an open conversation where participants can join the discussion by taking the available seat at the table, becoming active contributors alongside the invited speakers.

The event is intended for architects, conservation specialists, representatives of public authorities, museum professionals, educators, civil society organizations, and everyone engaged in the preservation of cultural heritage.
