About event
On March 5, a presentation was held to share the results of a study examining the role of culture in strengthening social cohesion and its impact on marginalized communities in Lviv and the Lviv region.
The research, conducted from July 19 to October 1, 2024, combined qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze key aspects, including:
📍 How culture contributes to cohesion in Lviv and its surrounding areas.
📍 Interaction between civil society organizations, high-quality cultural production, and human rights protection.
📍 Underrepresentation of marginalized groups in policy and research.
📍 Application of a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) and the use of best practices.
📍 The spread of exclusionary rhetoric that undermines social cohesion.
The study was carried out by Lanka.pro within the global UNESCO Art-Lab for Human Rights and Dialogue program. In Ukraine, this program was implemented by the Lviv Municipal Art Center as part of their project “Rear Matters.”
More details and results are available here.
We thank all partners for their support of this project!
