On June 2, Ira came to the Office of the Prosecutor General to collect the belongings her father, Serhii Didych, was wearing when he was killed on the Maidan 11 years ago. She was seated in a narrow foyer between the exit and the security checkpoint. An employee brought over a large black garbage bag. Inside were her father’s bloodstained clothes.

On February 18, the Hub hosted a public talk with Ira Didych, daughter of Heavenly Hundred Hero Serhii Didych, and historian Andrii Usach, head of the NGO “After Silence.” The conversation focused on the experiences of the families of the Heavenly Hundred over the 12 years since the events of the winter of 2013–2014, their expectations of justice, the work of memory, and the responsibility of society.

As part of the event, Ira also presented her father’s personal belongings, along with the garbage bag in which they had been returned from the storage of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
